Rocket Power: Beach Bandits is one of those early 2000s GBA games that just oozes nostalgia. You play as Otto and the gang trying to figure out who literally stole all the sand from their beach right before the big surf competition. Yeah, it's as ridiculous as it sounds.
The gameplay's a mix of platforming and weird little minigames—you'll be grinding rails one minute, then suddenly fighting a giant mutant fish the next. The controls take some getting used to (those skateboard sections can be janky), but there's something charming about how over-the-top everything is. Robot minions? Check. Absurd villain plot? Obviously.
It's not the deepest game, but if you grew up watching the show or just want some silly early 3D platforming vibes, it's a fun little time capsule. Just don't expect the graphics to hold up too well these days.
