Rockman EXE 4.5 Real Operation (J) is a weird little spin-off from the Battle Network series. Instead of controlling Lan, you play as yourself, which feels oddly personal when the game asks for your age and job right at the start.
Combat's different too—you don't directly move your Navi, just tell them who to attack and from what range. It takes some getting used to, especially if you're coming from the main games. The battle chip selection is random, so sometimes you're stuck with useless options while your Navi gets pummeled.
There's this optional Battle Chip Gate accessory that lets you scan real chips, but good luck finding one now. Without it, the game feels a bit stripped down. Still, there's something charming about the whole "daily life with a Navi" simulation angle.
It's not the best in the series, but Rockman EXE 4.5 Real Operation (J) has its own strange appeal if you're into experimental gameplay.
