Rockman EXE 4: Tournament Blue Moon is the GBA game that had me hooked on NetBattling all over again. You start off as Lan, just another kid with a NetNavi—until you realize MegaMan’s got way more firepower than you expected. The battles? Fast, frantic, and full of split-second decisions. One wrong move and you’re staring at a "Game Over" screen, but when you nail a perfect counter with a well-timed Battle Chip, it feels incredible.
What I love about Blue Moon (aside from the killer pixel art) is how different it feels from Red Sun. The exclusive Navis and chips change up your strategy—some of my favorite combos only work here. The tournament structure keeps things tense, too. You’re not just grinding random fights; every match feels like it matters, especially when rivals show up to trash-talk you mid-battle.
If you’ve played the other Battle Network games, this one refines the formula without losing what made them special. And if you haven’t? It’s a great excuse to dust off your GBA.
