1988 Amiga shooter with dual-layer defense: strategic missile targeting from satellite view and ground combat. Upgrade weapons, protect cities from alien waves and bosses.

Game Overview
S.D.I. is one of those classic Amiga games that somehow manages to be both frustrating and weirdly addictive. You're basically in charge of a global missile defense system, trying to shoot down incoming nukes before they wipe out cities—which sounds intense, and it is. The controls take a minute to get used to (good luck figuring out the radar at first), but once you do, it’s oddly satisfying to watch your interceptors scramble across the map.
The graphics are simple but effective, with that distinct late-80s charm—think chunky icons and a color palette that screams "Cold War panic." And the music? It’s got this tense, repetitive synth track that somehow makes every near-miss feel like a disaster narrowly avoided. You’ll fail a lot, but somehow, you’ll keep coming back for one more try.
It’s not the deepest strategy game out there, but there’s something about the high stakes and split-second decisions that makes it stick in your head. Just don’t blame me when you realize you’ve been playing for an hour straight.
