Sabre Team is one of those Amiga games that makes you think before you move—literally. You pick four soldiers from eight specialists, each with their own quirks, and then spend way too long agonizing over loadouts. Do you go loud with heavy firepower or try to sneak through with silenced pistols? Every bullet weighs something, and noise matters, so you’ll second-guess yourself before even starting.
The missions are tense, turn-based affairs where every action point counts. Moving, shooting, reloading—it all eats into your limited options per turn. The isometric view gives you just enough info to plan, but enemies can pop up from anywhere, and that little compass suddenly becomes your best friend when bullets start flying from off-screen. The difficulty ramps up fast, and by mission three, you’ll be sweating over every decision. It’s brutal in the best way.
If you like tactical games where one wrong move gets your whole squad wiped, this one’s a gem. Just don’t blame me when you restart the first mission five times.
