Game Overview

Same Game came out for the Game Boy in 1990, developed by HAL Laboratory and published by Nintendo. It was one of many puzzle games on the system, offering a straightforward, tile-matching experience without much fanfare.

You control a cursor to select groups of two or more identical blocks; clearing them makes the remaining blocks fall into place, sometimes creating new matches. The goal is to clear the entire board, or as much of it as possible, before running out of moves. The game rewards careful planning, since clearing large groups at once earns more points and helps avoid dead ends. It starts simple but quickly demands attention to chain reactions and tile physics. Playing it feels like untangling a knot with your eyes and fingers.
