Game Overview

Santa Paravia and Fiumaccio on the Amiga is one of those old-school strategy games where you play as a Renaissance-era ruler trying to build up your city. The graphics got a nice little upgrade from the original, but honestly, it’s still pretty barebones—just enough to make the wheat fields and angry peasants slightly more visible. You’ll spend most of your time balancing taxes, food, and whether to build another marketplace or just pray the plague doesn’t wipe everyone out.

It’s weirdly addictive once you get into it, though. The first time I played, I accidentally starved half my population because I forgot to buy grain. Lesson learned. The Amiga version doesn’t change the core game, but it does make staring at spreadsheets about medieval economics a tiny bit more pleasant.
