This isn't slow, methodical grappling—it's pure chaos with neon spandex and guys like Astro (who's basically a spaceman wrestler) suplexing opponents into next week. The first time I played, I picked Big Van Vader just to see how hard he could slam someone, and within seconds I was elbow-dropping fools from the top rope like it was nothing.
Capcom somehow made wrestling feel as fast and flashy as Street Fighter, with these exaggerated, almost cartoonish moves that just feel good to pull off. The Wraith, this masked lunatic, became my go-to because his finisher involves choking dudes with his own cape. Tag matches get especially ridiculous when both teams start bouncing off the ropes like pinballs.
It's aged better than most Genesis wrestling games—still stupid fun, still loud, and still the best way to settle an argument with a friend via pixelated pile-drivers.
