THQ released Scooby-Doo and the Cyber Chase for the Game Boy Advance in 2001, a time when handhelds were really coming into their own with bright screens and longer adventures. It was based on the direct-to-video movie of the same name, and it fit right in with other platformers and action titles of the era.
You control one member of the Mystery Inc. gang at a time, navigating through side-scrolling levels filled with enemies and environmental puzzles. The main goal is to progress through each stage, collecting Scooby Snacks and avoiding or outsmarting the various monsters that pop up. A key mechanic involves finding disguises to sneak past certain enemies undetected, and if your character takes too much damage, you instantly switch to another member of the team mid-level. The pacing is fairly straightforward, though some jumps and enemy patterns require careful timing. It feels like a light, cartoonish adventure that captures the show's vibe without too much frustration.
