Sega Top 5 is basically a time machine for your Genesis—five of the best games from back in the day, all in one place. I fired it up and immediately got sucked into Golden Axe, swinging a sword at skeletons like it was 1991 again. The controls are still tight, the music still slaps, and yeah, I still die a lot in Altered Beast because that game is harder than I remember.
No fancy remasters or extra fluff here—just the original games exactly how they were, for better or worse. (Looking at you, Revenge of Shinobi.) Perfect if you want to show someone why these were a big deal, or just relive that "one more try" feeling at 2 AM. The Genesis had attitude, and this collection keeps it intact.
