Play [SegaNet] Phantasy Star II - Anne's Adventure (Japan) Online

This is one of those weird little side stories from Phantasy Star II that never made it outside Japan—basically a text adventure spin-off where you play as Anne, the scrappy thief from the main game. No turn-based battles here, just old-school menu navigation and some surprisingly tense choices as you sneak through labs and dodge security to take down a rogue Biomonster.

It’s all in Japanese, obviously, but if you’ve played the original, you’ll recognize Anne’s attitude bleeding through even with the language barrier. The pixel art cutscenes are a nice touch, especially when she pulls off some ridiculous acrobatic stunt to avoid getting caught. Definitely more of a curiosity than a must-play, but cool to see Sega experimenting with the universe back then.

Just don’t expect anything as deep as the main RPG—this is more like a snack-sized side quest with a lot of trial-and-error.
