If you grew up watching Shaman King or just love weird, fast-paced fighting games, this GBA title is a total blast. You pick your shaman—Yoh, Anna, Ren, whoever—and pair them with a spirit, then jump into these chaotic 2v2 battles where timing and team combos matter way more than button mashing.

The pixel art nails the anime’s vibe, especially the over-the-top attack animations. Some spirits buff your defense, others turn your punches into lightning storms—took me a few matches to realize Horohoro’s ice spirit works best if you keep your distance. And yeah, the AI can be brutal if you’re not careful.

It’s one of those games that feels simple at first, but once you start chaining spirit skills with your partner’s moves, fights get wild. Perfect for short bursts or grinding through arcade mode to unlock Hao (good luck with that). Still holds up if you’re into retro fighters with personality.
