Shark Story (I) is one of those weird little GBA games where you just... play as a shark. No deep story, no complex mechanics. You swim, you eat smaller fish, and you try not to get eaten by bigger things. The controls feel a bit stiff at first, like the shark moves in wide arcs instead of tight turns.
I remember the first time a barracuda came out of nowhere and took a chunk out of me. The pixel art makes everything look kinda cute, even when you're getting chased by something that wants to kill you. The ocean gets darker as you go deeper, and sometimes you'll find hidden caves or schools of fish that give bonus points.
It's not a long game, and the novelty wears off after a while, but Shark Story (I) has this simple charm to it. You just zone out and be a shark for a bit.
