Game Overview

Shijou Saidai no Soukoban came out for the Sega Genesis in 1995, developed by Thinking Rabbit. It was part of that era when puzzle games were finding a solid home on consoles, offering something a bit more methodical than the usual action titles. The name translates to "The Largest Sokoban in History," which pretty much tells you what you're in for right from the start.

You control a warehouse worker tasked with pushing crates onto marked spots, one screen at a time. The objective is simple, but the execution is brutally strict; if you shove a box into a corner or against a wall incorrectly, you often have to reset the entire stage. There are no undo moves, no hints, just pure spatial reasoning and patience. The pacing is slow and deliberate, demanding careful planning with every step. Finishing a difficult stage feels like untangling a knot in your brain.
