Play Shisenshou - Match-Mania (Japan) Online
Scramble to match tiles before time runs out, but those three-line path restrictions will have you second-guessing every move. That last butterfly pair always hides when you need it most.

Shisenshou: Match-Mania came out for the Game Boy in 1991, developed by Home Data. It was part of that wave of tile-matching games that found a natural home on Nintendo's handheld, offering a compact, focused puzzle experience you could take anywhere. The screen was small, the music simple, but it had a way of pulling you in for just one more round.
You control a cursor to select pairs of matching tiles, clearing them from the board. The main goal is to remove every tile before time expires. The key mechanics involve finding pairs connected by a path with no more than two turns (a three-line rule), and sometimes dealing with tiles that shuffle or rearrange if you take too long. The pace starts relaxed but tightens up quickly, demanding faster decisions and sharper pattern recognition. It feels like a constant race between your eyes and the clock.
