The main goal is to fight through each level, defeat the boss waiting at the end, and occasionally hunt for hidden treasure chests to unlock extras. Signature mechanics include switching between crew members like Zoro and Sanji on the fly, each with their own special moves, and using screen clearing super attacks that build up as you land hits. The pacing is brisk, and the difficulty stays manageable, making it easy to jump in for short bursts. It feels like a cheerful, button mashing romp with just enough variety to keep things interesting from start to finish.
