Shrek: Reekin' Havoc is one of those weird little GBA beat'em ups that somehow makes smacking knights and witches with Shrek's meaty fists feel satisfying. You start off as Fiona—surprisingly agile for someone in a big dress—before switching to Shrek, who just plows through enemies like they're made of wet paper.
The levels are straight out of the movie: villages, dark forests, that kind of thing. The controls are simple (jump, punch, maybe a special move if you mash buttons right), but there's something oddly fun about fighting Pinocchio as a boss while he yells at you in that nasally voice. Watch out for pits, though—falling in one feels like the game just cheated you.
It's not deep, but if you ever wanted to see Shrek uppercut a ghostly Lord Farquaad, this is your chance.
