Game Overview
Shrek SuperSlam is basically Smash Bros but with ogres, fairytale creatures, and a whole lot of swampy attitude. You pick from a roster of Shrek characters—Donkey’s way faster than you’d think, by the way—and brawl across stages like Fiona’s castle or the Poison Apple pub. It’s chaotic, a little janky, but weirdly fun once you get into the rhythm of tossing gingerbread men at people.
The GBA version obviously doesn’t have the flash of the console releases, but it’s got that portable charm. You’ll unlock weird bonus content like concept art, and the AI can actually put up a fight if you crank the difficulty. Not gonna lie, playing as Puss in Boots and just spamming his sword lunge never gets old.
It’s the kind of game you break out when you’ve got a friend nearby and want something silly to pass the time.
