Game Overview
Shuttle on the Amiga is one of those brutally detailed sims where you either nerd out hard or give up in the first 10 minutes. The manual alone feels like a textbook, and that massive A2 cockpit diagram? You’ll be cross-referencing it constantly just to figure out which of the nine panels controls the oxygen flow. Mouse works, but keyboard shortcuts become muscle memory—otherwise, you’ll still be flipping switches when the mission’s over.
Weirdly hypnotic once it clicks, though. Watching the shuttle sit on the pad in real-time (yes, pre-launch takes literal hours if you don’t cheat) makes the whole thing feel eerily authentic. Flip to external views mid-flight and suddenly you’re just a tiny speck against the Earth’s curve. Not for the impatient, but if you ever wanted to actually sweat through a shuttle launch, this is as close as it gets.
