Silent Scope (Evasion) (J) is a GBA port of the arcade sniper game, and it feels surprisingly tense for a handheld version. The zoom-in mechanic works better than I expected—when an enemy pops up, the screen focuses tight on them, and you have to line up the shot fast before they react.
It’s not perfect though. The controls can be a little stiff, especially when trying to track moving targets. And sometimes the zoom feels too abrupt, like the game is yanking your view around. But when it clicks, there’s something satisfying about dropping enemies one after another.
I remember one mission where I barely made the last shot in time, with the target already raising his gun. Silent Scope (Evasion) (J) nails that split-second pressure, even if the graphics are obviously scaled down from the arcade.
