Sim City 2000 on the GBA is a stripped-down but still satisfying version of the classic city builder. The tiny screen makes zoning and placing roads a bit fiddly, but after a while, you get used to squinting at your little grid of streets and buildings.
I remember starting with just a power plant and some residential zones, watching those first few houses pop up. The sense of slow growth is still there, even if the graphics are simpler. Traffic jams still happen, budgets still run tight, and disasters still wreck your carefully laid plans.
It's not as deep as the PC version, but for a portable city sim, Sim City 2000 holds up surprisingly well.
