Play Sim City 2000 GBA Online
Build your own city, manage resources, and keep your citizens happy while tackling challenges like disasters and traffic in Sim City 2000 on the go.
Sim City 2000 on the Game Boy Advance came out in 2001, published by Destination Software and developed by Full Fat. It was one of the few city builders on the handheld, arriving at a time when most GBA games were either platformers or RPGs. The port tried to bring the depth of the PC original to a much smaller screen, which was an interesting challenge.
You play as the mayor, zoning land for residential, commercial, and industrial use, laying down roads and power lines, and setting tax rates. Your main goal is to grow a thriving city while managing budgets and responding to citizen demands. Key mechanics include handling utilities like water and electricity, dealing with random disasters, and balancing your budget to avoid bankruptcy. The pacing is slow and deliberate, with a steep learning curve for newcomers. It feels satisfying to watch a small town gradually expand into a bustling metropolis, even with the limitations of the hardware.
