Play Skidoo Online
1989 Amiga racing/survival game. Race 9 opponents across 25 frozen cities. Manage food and body heat. Features 3rd-person racing, 1st-person hunting, and dynamic weather.
Skidoo came out for the Amiga in 1989, developed by Tomahawk. It was one of those games that tried something a little different on a platform known for pushing boundaries. You don't see many titles that mix racing with survival mechanics, especially not from that era.
You control a lone racer on a snowmobile, competing against nine opponents across 25 frozen city tracks. Your main goal is to finish each race, but you also have to constantly manage your food supply and body heat. The game shifts between a third-person racing view and a first-person hunting mode where you shoot animals for food. Dynamic weather, like sudden blizzards, can drastically lower your temperature and obscure the track. It's a tense, demanding experience that makes you feel the cold and the pressure of the race. Surviving feels like a genuine accomplishment.
