Game Overview

Skweek came out on the Amiga in 1989, published by U.S. Gold. It was one of those clever, colorful puzzle games that felt right at home on the platform, offering a bright and methodical challenge without the graphical intensity of some other releases from that year.

You control a little blue creature tasked with repainting an entire continent, one tile at a time. The main goal is to walk over every floor panel to change its color while avoiding enemies like the bouncing Schnoreuls. You can shoot to temporarily stun foes, and you must also dodge enemy projectiles and make strategic use of teleport tiles to navigate the maze-like screens. The pace is deliberate, and the difficulty ramps up steadily as the levels introduce more complex enemy patterns and layouts. It feels satisfying to methodically claim each screen, turning the chaos back into order.
