Snoopy: Magic Show came out for the Game Boy in 1990, developed and published by Kemco. It was one of those oddball licensed games from the early handheld era, a time when you never quite knew what to expect from a title starring a familiar character. You control Snoopy as he works his way through a series of single-screen puzzle rooms. The main goal is to rescue his sister Belle, who has been kidnapped, by progressing through each stage. The gameplay revolves around two main mechanics: matching pairs of cards to clear obstacles and using magic tricks, like turning into a balloon animal to float over gaps. The pacing is deliberate, almost slow, and some puzzles can feel unintuitive or downright stubborn.
