Play Spider-Man and Venom - Maximum Carnage (World) Online
Control Spider-Man or Venom, fight through hordes of enemies in New York, and take down Carnage and his crew with combos and special moves.
Spider-Man and Venom: Maximum Carnage came out for the Sega Genesis in 1994, developed by Software Creations and published by Acclaim. It was part of that wave of licensed comic book games that tried to capture the darker, more chaotic energy of the era's stories, with a visual style ripped straight from the pages of the crossover event it was based on.
You control either Spider-Man or Venom, moving screen by screen through New York's boroughs, beating up symbiote-infected thugs and super villains. Your main goal is to stop Carnage and his twisted family, fighting through hordes of enemies that pour in from both sides of the screen. The game uses simple combo attacks, character-specific special moves (like webbing or tendril strikes), and occasional team-up assists from other Marvel heroes. It's fast, crowded, and often unforgiving, with enemies swarming and cheap hits coming frequently. Playing it feels like brawling your way through a messy, relentless comic book brawl.
