Man, Splatterhouse Part 3 on the Genesis is like someone took a B-horror movie and turned it into a button-mashing nightmare—in the best way possible. You play as Rick, this poor guy who either fights as a regular dude or transforms into a hulking monster when things get really messy. And trust me, things get messy fast—the screen’s always packed with mutants, zombies, and other things that definitely shouldn’t exist.

What I love is how it’s not just mindless swinging (though there’s plenty of that). You’ve got these branching paths where you actually make choices—like, do you take the creepy basement route or the one with the giant eyeball monster? And yeah, the endings change depending on what you pick. The first time I played, I got the "bad" one because I took too long smashing enemies instead of running. Classic me.

It’s way smoother than the first two games, too. The controls actually listen to you, and the monster transformations feel brutal—like, one second you’re barely surviving, the next you’re ripping a demon in half. Just maybe keep the lights on while playing. That hallway with the crawling arms still gets me.
