Spy Kids 3D (Endless Piracy) (E) is one of those licensed GBA games that tries to capture the movie's energy but ends up feeling a little thin. You run through blocky 3D environments, jumping over gaps and dodging enemy drones, but the controls are stiff, and the camera fights you more than the actual enemies.
I remember getting stuck early on because the game doesn’t explain how some of the gadgets work—just throws you in. The puzzles are simple, mostly pushing boxes or hitting switches, but the awkward movement makes even that frustrating at times. The levels try to mimic the movie’s cyberpunk vibe, but the GBA’s hardware limits make everything look muddy.
It’s not terrible, just forgettable. If you’re a die-hard Spy Kids fan, maybe there’s some nostalgia here, but otherwise, it’s a rough play by today’s standards.
