Spy Kids Challenger on the GBA is basically your official backstage pass to the OSS Academy—you know, that spy training camp from the second movie. It’s got this fun mix of minigames that switch up just enough to keep you from getting bored. One minute you’re side-scrolling through some platforming drills, the next you’re in a top-down shooter dodging lasers, and then suddenly you’re in this weird 3D tube section that feels like it shouldn’t work on a Game Boy but somehow does.
You start off as a rookie, obviously, but rack up enough points (by not totally failing at spy stuff) and they’ll bump you up the ranks. There’s a normal mode if you just wanna mess around, but expert actually makes you sweat a little—those vehicle sections get mean fast. It’s not gonna blow your mind, but for a licensed game, it’s way more playable than it had any right to be.
