Play Star Wars : Episode III : Revenge of the Sith Online
Swinging a lightsaber through waves of droids feels surprisingly fluid for a GBA game—Anakin’s combos hit harder, but Obi-Wan’s got cleaner counters. The occasional 3D dogfight breaks up the side-scrolling nicely, and dueling friends as Boba Fett is pure chaos.

I picked up Star Wars: Episode III: Revenge of the Sith for the Game Boy Advance back in 2005, a time when movie tie-ins were a common sight on the handheld. The game was developed by The Collective, and it aimed to translate the film's climactic events into a portable action experience. It was a straightforward attempt to capture the final chapter of the prequel trilogy, fitting right into the library of games that tried to bring blockbuster scale to the small screen.
You primarily control either Anakin Skywalker or Obi-Wan Kenobi, moving through side-scrolling levels to slash through battle droids and clone troopers with your lightsaber. The main objective is to progress through the story of the film, from the opening rescue above Coruscant to the final duel on Mustafar. Signature mechanics include a combo-based combat system where different button presses execute various attacks and a Force power meter used for special abilities like pushes and lightning. The pacing is brisk, with levels that switch between standard platforming and brief, on-rails flight sequences. It feels like a competent, if sometimes repetitive, effort to put a lightsaber in your pocket.
