I picked up Star Wars: Flight of the Falcon for the Game Boy Advance back in 2003, a time when handhelds were really hitting their stride with these kinds of action titles. THQ published it, and it was one of those games that felt perfectly suited for quick sessions, even if it wasn't the most polished thing on the system. It's a straightforward arcade shooter that doesn't try to overcomplicate the Star Wars experience, just puts you in the cockpit and lets you blast away.

You pilot the Millennium Falcon through a series of missions, taking down TIE fighters and avoiding obstacles like asteroids and capital ship turrets. The main goal is usually to survive long enough to complete objectives, such as protecting friendly ships or destroying specific targets. The controls are simple, relying on shooting and dodging, but the Falcon handles with a noticeable heaviness that makes evading fire a deliberate task. Later, you get to fly an X-wing, which is much more responsive and changes the feel of the combat entirely. It's a challenging game that demands focus, especially during busier screen-filling battles, and finishing a tough stage leaves you with a real sense of accomplishment.
