Game Overview
So you inherit a fat stack of cash from your late grand aunt—400,000 Deutsche Marks, no less—and what do you do? Open a hotel, obviously. Not just any hotel, though. You're gunning for the big leagues: the Steigenberger, a name that screams luxury. But you start small, with what’s basically a glorified guesthouse, and work your way up.
It’s all about the little (and not-so-little) decisions here. Hire the right staff, set prices that won’t scare guests off, keep the restaurant running smoothly—even schmooze the press if you want good reviews. The whole thing’s mouse-controlled, which was pretty slick for an Amiga game, and you can rope in up to three friends to compete or collaborate. Oh, and if you don’t want turns dragging on forever, you can set a time limit to keep things moving.
It’s one of those games where you lose track of time because suddenly it’s 3 AM and you’re still tweaking the menu prices to squeeze out a little more profit.
