Stop That Roach! is this weirdly addictive little Game Boy strategy game where you’re basically a pest control ninja. You get five moves per turn—either stomping around to scare roaches, setting traps, or going full exterminator with brooms and spray. Then it’s the roaches’ turn, and they’re annoyingly smart about dodging you or beelining for that chunk of cheese you’re guarding.
The tutorial actually helps (shocking for a retro game), but don’t expect it to be easy. Those bugs have rules—they’ll scatter if you stomp nearby, but some just shamelessly rush the food. Nothing beats the satisfaction of cornering one with a well-placed trap, though. Just don’t get cocky—lose the food, and it’s game over.
It’s like chess if the pawns were gross little escape artists.
