Super Bubble Pop is this weird little GBA gem that mashes up Tetris and Bust-A-Move in a way that shouldn’t work—but totally does. You’re this little dude at the bottom of the screen, flinging colored bubbles upward to match three of the same color and clear them. The twist? They stack in these neat little piles of six, and if you fill a column, new bubbles start piling up in front of it. Mess up, and suddenly you’re dealing with a wall of bubbles creeping closer.
What’s cool is you don’t always have to clear everything—sometimes tokens drop, and if you grab enough, you can just bail on the chaos and move to the next level. It’s a nice escape hatch when your screen looks like a rainbow exploded. The controls take a second to get used to (why does the GBA d-pad feel so tiny for this?), but once it clicks, you’ll be bouncing bubbles like a pro. Just don’t blame me when you realize you’ve been playing for an hour straight.
