Play Super Hang-On Amiga Online
Arcade motorcycle racer with four continental tracks of increasing difficulty. Control speed via gear shifts, avoid other riders, and race against time limits. Released in 1987 for Amiga.

I remember playing Super Hang-On on the Amiga back in 1987, published by Electric Dreams Software. It was one of those arcade ports that felt right at home on the system, arriving during a time when the Amiga was starting to show what it could really do with fast action games. It didn't try to be anything more than a solid, straightforward racing experience, and that was exactly what I wanted.
You control a motorcycle racer, leaning into turns and shifting gears to manage your speed across four lengthy continental courses. The main goal is simple: finish each stage before the timer runs out, weaving through traffic and trying not to wipe out on sharp bends. The gear shift mechanic is crucial; you're constantly tapping keys to drop a gear before a corner or power up on the straights. It's a tough game, demanding quick reflexes and good timing, especially on the later tracks where the margins for error shrink. The sense of speed is intense, and nailing a perfect run through a series of tight curves feels incredibly satisfying.
