Super Methane Bros feels like someone took Bubble Bobble and gave it a weird, gassy twist. You’ve got these two little guys trapped in the Tower of Time, jumping across single-screen levels packed with ledges and platforms—and of course, bugs. Lots of bugs.
Instead of bubbles, you’ve got a methane gun (yes, really). Shoot a bug, and it gets sucked into a floating bubble of gas. Then you’ve gotta fling it at a wall to pop it—miss, and the bug just wriggles free. The whole thing’s frantic because you’re racing against a timer, scrambling to clear every last critter before time runs out.
It’s got that old-school Amiga charm—simple but surprisingly addictive once you get into the rhythm of trapping and smashing bugs. Just don’t think too hard about why methane is the weapon of choice here.
