Tak and the Power of Juju came out for the Game Boy Advance in 2003, published by THQ. You control Tak, a young shaman apprentice, running and jumping through levels to rescue your tribe from an evil shaman. The gameplay involves screen by screen exploration, using a staff for close combat and a slingshot for ranged attacks. You collect power-ups and Juju magic to transform into animals, like a chicken that can glide over gaps. The pacing is steady, with some tricky platforming sections that require precise jumps. It feels a little rough around the edges, but there's a genuine sense of fun in navigating its colorful, obstacle-filled world.
