Play Technoclash Online
Play as a wizard prince in a cyberpunk wasteland, juggling spells while your AI buddies (sorta) help fight biomech horrors. Send your falcon ahead, heal mid-battle—it’s messy, smart, and totally 90s.
Technoclash is one of those weird, ambitious Genesis games that throws you straight into a clash of magic and machines. You play as Ronaan, a wizard prince who’s basically been shoved into a tech-infested world to hunt down this biomechanical freak called the Engine Man. The setup alone makes it feel like someone mashed up high fantasy with a cyberpunk nightmare—and honestly, it works.
Gameplay’s a mix of top-down action and light strategy. You’ve got two AI bodyguards who’ll actually help in fights (most of the time), a falcon you can send ahead to scout, and spells that do everything from blasting enemies to warping you out of a tight spot. The first time I tried healing mid-battle instead of just spamming attacks, it clicked—this isn’t just a hack-and-slash. You’ve gotta think a little, even if the controls take some getting used to.
It’s janky in that classic 16-bit way, but there’s something oddly satisfying about watching your bird circle overhead while your guards hold off a swarm of robo-minions. If you’re into obscure Genesis gems with a weird premise, this one’s worth a look.
