Download Tennis Champs_Disk1 ROM – Amiga Game
1995 Amiga tennis game with arcade-style matches, multiple court surfaces, and player customization. Features solo and multiplayer modes with adaptive AI opponents.
Okay, so Tennis Champs on the Amiga is one of those old-school sports games that somehow nails the simplicity of tennis without overcomplicating things. You pick your player—some are faster, some hit harder—and then it’s straight into matches that feel surprisingly smooth for the era. The ball physics are just right, not too floaty, not too stiff, and the controls are simple enough that you’ll be rallying within seconds.
What I love is how the game doesn’t bog you down with menus or unnecessary fluff. You serve, you volley, you try not to whiff an easy return (which happens more than I’d like to admit). The AI actually puts up a decent fight, too—no pushovers here. And yeah, the graphics are obviously dated, but there’s a charm to the chunky sprites and that classic Amiga color palette.
If you’ve got a soft spot for retro sports games, this one’s a solid serve-and-volley experience. Just don’t expect any fancy commentary or career modes—it’s pure, straightforward tennis.
