Terminator 2: The Arcade Game came to the Amiga in 1991, developed by Probe Software. It was a direct adaptation of the coin-op light gun shooter, a type of game that felt both familiar and ambitious on home computers at the time. You got the full arcade experience, just without the plastic gun.
You control a resistance fighter or the T-800 itself, moving automatically through levels ripped from the film. Your job is to aim the crosshair and blast endless waves of police, T-1000s, and other threats before they shoot you. The game throws constant enemy spawns and screen-filling explosions at you, demanding quick reflexes and sharp aim. It’s a pure, frantic test of survival that makes you feel like you’re inside the movie’s most intense action scenes.
