Play The Amazing Virtual Sea Monkeys (U)(Trashman) Online
Care for virtual sea monkeys, feed them, clean their tank, and dodge the Trashman as you try to keep them alive in this quirky GBA title from 2003.
I picked up The Amazing Virtual Sea Monkeys for the Game Boy Advance back in 2003. It was developed by Trashman, a name that fits the game's oddball charm. This was during the GBA's peak, when quirky, experimental titles still found a place alongside the big franchises. It never got much attention, but it had a strange appeal if you were into something a little different.
You control a caretaker raising virtual sea monkeys in a small tank. Your main goal is to keep them alive and growing while avoiding the Trashman, a clumsy figure who periodically appears to suck them up with a vacuum. The gameplay involves feeding them, cleaning the tank, and managing their environment screen by screen. It's slow paced but surprisingly tense when the Trashman shows up. Playing it feels like balancing on a weird, watery tightrope.
