I picked up The Incredible Hulk on Game Boy Advance back in 2003, a Universal Interactive release that came out around the same time as the Ang Lee film. It was one of those licensed games that felt pretty standard for the era, not groundbreaking but solid enough if you were into beat 'em ups and superhero action on the go. The GBA had a ton of these side-scrolling brawlers, and this one fit right in with its chunky sprites and straightforward level design.

You control the Hulk, moving screen by screen through urban and industrial environments, smashing everything in your path. Your main goal is to punch, throw, and crush enemies while occasionally dealing with light platforming or environmental obstacles. Signature mechanics include picking up objects like cars or crates to hurl at foes, and a rage meter that builds as you take damage, letting you unleash more powerful attacks when full. The pacing is fast, and the difficulty can spike unexpectedly in later stages, especially with some cheap enemy placements. It feels chaotic and destructive in a way that captures the character's appeal, even if the controls are a little stiff at times.
