I remember picking up The Jungle Book for the Sega Genesis back in 1994, published by Virgin Interactive. It was one of those licensed Disney platformers that felt pretty common at the time, but it had its own charm. The graphics were colorful and the music was catchy, fitting right in with other 16-bit action games of the era.

You play as Mowgli, moving through jungle stages, climbing vines, and avoiding enemies like monkeys and snakes. The main goal is to rescue your animal friends and eventually face Shere Khan. You throw coconuts to attack, and there's a lot of careful platforming, like jumping across hippos' backs in the river. The game can be tough, with some precise timing needed, but it feels satisfying to finally clear a tricky section after a few tries.
