Play The Lord of the Rings - The Fellowship of the Ring (E)(Cezar) Online
Explore Middle-earth, fight orcs, solve puzzles, and guide Frodo on his quest to destroy the One Ring in this action-adventure game for Game Boy Advance.
I picked up The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring for the Game Boy Advance back in 2002. It was developed by Pocket Studios and published by Black Label Games, one of those licensed titles that tried to capture the epic feel of the films on a handheld. The GBA had a ton of these action-adventure games, and this one fit right in with its top-down perspective and chunky pixel art.
You control Frodo for most of the game, switching to Aragorn or Gandalf at certain points. Your main goal is to carry the One Ring from the Shire to Rivendell, then onward to destroy it. You explore screen by screen, fighting orcs with your sword, solving simple environmental puzzles, and occasionally using a bow for ranged attacks. The pacing is deliberate, with some backtracking and key hunting in later areas. It can be a bit unforgiving in spots, especially with limited healing. Playing it feels like a condensed, hands-on trip through Middle-earth, with all the tension and exploration that implies.
