I picked up The Proud Family on Game Boy Advance back when it came out, a licensed title from Disney and developer Digital Eclipse. It was one of those many cartoon-to-game adaptations that filled the shelves back then, aiming to capture the spirit of the TV show in a portable format.

You control Penny Proud through a series of side-scrolling platforming stages, each based on an episode or theme from the series. The main goal is to navigate these levels, avoiding obstacles like Sticky Webb's pranks, collecting items for Oscar's odd jobs, and occasionally engaging in mini-games such as racing Suga Mama in a shopping cart. The platforming can feel a bit stiff, and some jumps require precise timing, which adds a layer of challenge. It captures the show's humor and chaos well, even if the controls aren't always perfect. Playing it feels like stepping right into an episode, for better or worse.
