Game Overview

I first played Think! on the Amiga back in 1991, a puzzle game developed by The Assembly Line and published by Psygnosis. It arrived during a time when the Amiga was full of creative, experimental titles, and this one stood out for its quiet, cerebral approach rather than flashy action or story. You weren't saving a princess or blasting aliens; you were just presented with a series of rooms, each a self contained problem to solve with whatever tools were provided.

You control a small, nameless character who must navigate from the entrance to the exit of each screen, manipulating objects like ropes, pulleys, weights, and balloons to alter the environment. The main objective is straightforward: get out. But the path is never simple. You might tie a rope to a weight to swing across a gap, or use a balloon to float a key up to a higher platform. The game is non linear, letting you tackle many levels in any order, and the difficulty comes from understanding physics and cause and effect rather than quick reflexes. It feels like quietly untangling a knot in your mind, one deliberate action at a time.
