The levels are this trippy, pastel playground where you’re jumping on floating islands, dodging lawnmowers (because of course), and chucking screaming humans into your ship like some kind of intergalactic bouncer. The music? Still an absolute slap—that boombox bassline lives in my head rent-free. Controls feel way smoother than the first game, and co-op turns it into a hilarious mess of missed jumps and accidental power-up activations (Rocket Skates, I’m looking at you).

It’s weird, it’s loud, and it’s got more personality than most games today. If the original felt like a chill exploration thing, this one’s the hyperactive little sibling that chugged a gallon of space soda. Also, Earl’s victory dance is objectively the best thing in any Genesis game. Fight me.
