Game Overview
Tom and Jerry: The Magic Ring on GBA is basically the cartoon come to life—if the cartoon had you frantically mashing buttons while a tiny mouse taunts you. Jerry nabs this glowing magic ring (because of course he does), and suddenly you're either Tom, bumbling through kitchens and gardens trying to catch him, or Jerry, squeezing through mouse holes and dropping flower pots on that poor cat’s head.
The levels are these chaotic playgrounds of classic slapstick: rolling pins fly out of nowhere, pianos drop from the sky, and somehow every broom closet hides an anvil. The pixel art nails the cartoon’s energy, right down to Tom’s exaggerated grimaces when he gets hit. Sound effects are straight out of the show too—that boing when Jerry bounces off a spring had me laughing.
It’s simple but sneaky—some levels feel easy until you realize Jerry’s been leading you into a trap the whole time. Perfect for quick sessions, though I did get weirdly invested in outsmarting that mouse. If you ever wanted to be the reason Tom’s life is miserable, here’s your chance.
