Tomb Raider: The Prophecy came out for the Game Boy Advance in 2002, developed by Ubi Soft. It was part of that wave of portable games trying to bring console-style action to a smaller screen, with mixed but often interesting results. You control Lara Croft through a series of interconnected rooms, solving environmental puzzles, avoiding traps, and fighting enemies with pistols and other weapons. The main goal involves stopping a doomsday cult from unleashing an ancient plague, which means collecting pieces of an artifact across different locations. The gameplay is methodical; you push blocks, find keys, and manage your limited inventory while dealing with respawning foes. It can be unforgiving, with some puzzles requiring careful timing and observation. Playing it feels like working through a compact, sometimes frustrating, but satisfying logic box.
