Top Banana is this weird, hyper-90s Amiga platformer that feels like someone took a rave, an MTV music video, and an environmental protest, threw them in a blender, and made a game out of it. You play as this girl in neon rave gear jumping through trippy levels, tossing hearts at enemies (who are basically corporate goons—very "stick it to the man"). The whole thing’s got this rising water gimmick too, so you’re constantly scrambling upward before you drown.

Visually, it’s a mess in the best way—like the artist just went wild with inverted colors and random clip art. And because it’s the ‘90s, all the graphics and sound samples are left uncompressed on the disk, so you could technically hack them apart if you wanted. It’s janky, chaotic, and somehow exactly what you’d expect from a game involving members of Coldcut.

Not the deepest platformer, but man, does it have vibe for days.
