Played Touhoumon Cirno on an emulator recently. It's a GBA rom hack that mashes up monster catching with Touhou characters, so instead of Pikachu you're running around with Cirno and friends. The overworld feels familiar if you've played the old Pokemon games, but the sprites and dialogue give it that weird Touhou charm.
Early on, you're just wandering through forests and caves trying to catch whatever shows up, but the battles can get surprisingly tough. Some of the type matchups don't make sense at first, and I lost a few fights before realizing I needed to rethink my team. The music is a nice mix of chiptune and Touhou tracks, which keeps the grind from feeling too stale.
It's janky in places, and the translation isn't perfect, but there's something fun about building a team of bullet-hell fairies. Touhoumon Cirno isn't polished, but it's got personality.
